The varsity lacrosse Owls saw their postseason run come to a close on Saturday, falling 15-6 to McCallie in the TSSAA Division II-AA Semifinals.
MUS battled throughout the contest and trailed 6-4 at halftime before McCallie pulled away in the second half. Sophomore James Hanlon, seniors Dallas Keras, and Sanford Owen each scored two goals to lead the Owls offensively. Hanlon also added an assist, while Owen contributed an assist on eight shots. Sophomore Bruce Stockburger recorded an assist in the effort.
At the faceoff X, junior Dhilan Madasu finished with eight faceoff wins to help MUS compete for possession throughout the afternoon.
In goal, junior Joel Hobson turned in a strong performance with 11 saves against a high-powered McCallie attack.
The semifinal appearance capped off another strong season for the Owls, highlighted by a playoff victory over Father Ryan and a berth in the final four of the TSSAA DII-AA playoffs.
