The varsity lacrosse Owls (10-5) dropped a 14-12 decision to MICDS yesterday in their regular season finale, battling throughout in a competitive contest.
MUS saw a strong offensive push in the second half, highlighted by senior William Fruechtenicht, who recorded a hat-trick after the break. Junior Henry Cannon and sophomore James Hanlon each added two goals, while additional scoring came from senior Sanford Owen, sophomore Bruce Stockburger, junior Dhilan Madasu, freshman Hudson Rhodes, and sophomore Caleb Loudenbeck. Rhodes also contributed an assist in the effort.
At the faceoff X, Madasu delivered a dominant performance with 18 wins, helping the Owls maintain possession and create scoring opportunities.
In goal, sophomore Reid Boatright made the start and recorded 10 saves, anchoring the defense against a potent MICDS attack.
Despite the result, the Owls now turn their focus to postseason play, preparing for a quarterfinals home playoff matchup on Friday at 5:30 P.M. on Rogers Field against Father Ryan.
