The varsity soccer Owls opened their TSSAA Division II-AA first-round matchup against McCallie on the road, falling 6–1 in Chattanooga.

McCallie came out quickly, scoring twice within the first three minutes to take an early 2–0 lead. The Owls answered when senior Andy Yambrek beat the goalkeeper to cut the deficit to 2–1 and swing momentum back toward the visitors.

Freshman Butler Wallis earned the start in goal and worked through a busy opening stretch as McCallie continued to apply pressure. Despite the early response, McCallie added another goal before halftime to take a 3–1 lead into the break.

In the second half, McCallie extended its advantage and ultimately secured a 6–1 victory to advance in the state tournament.

The early goal from Yambrek and the continued effort from Wallis in goal highlighted the Owls' resilience as the team concluded its postseason run on the road.
