The varsity track & field Owls delivered an outstanding performance at Home Meet #2 yesterday, finishing 1st out of 12 teams and highlighting the depth and talent of the squad across sprints, distance, and field events.

Record-Breaking Performance

Senior McEwen Taylor Jr. ran 21.86 in the 200m, breaking the previous MUS school record of 21.88, set by Chris Davis in 2014. Taylor also claimed a first-place finish in the Pole Vault, cementing an exceptional night.

Distance & Relays

• 3200m: Carter Wildrick – 1st | Ethan Vines – 2nd
• 800m: Noah Hinote – strong performance contributing to team points
• 4x800 Relay: Fort Gusmus IV, Noah Hinote, Will Hagerman, and Kade McCracken – 1st place

Sprints

• 400m: Fort Gusmus IV – 2nd place

Field Events

• Pole Vault: Harry Alexander – Tied 2nd
• Shot Put: Allen Halliday Jr. – 3rd
• Discus: Charles Doughtie – 2nd | Ezekiel Redick Jr. – 3rd
• Long Jump: Gavin Gatere – 2nd | Jackson Halpern – 3rd

The Owls also saw personal records and strong performances across the roster, demonstrating their continued growth and competitive spirit.
