The varsity track & field Owls delivered an impressive performance in their first home meet of the season, capturing 1st place out of 13 teams in a competitive field featuring many of the top programs in the area.
Field Events
Senior Harry Alexander led the way in the field events with a 1st place finish in the Pole Vault.
In the throws, senior Gavin Gatere and junior Allen Halliday Jr. turned in strong performances in the Shot Put, finishing 2nd and 3rd, respectively.
Senior Charles Doughtie continued his dominant form, winning the Discus, while freshman Ezekiel Redick Jr. added to the Owls' success with a 3rd place finish and a personal-record throw of 125 feet.Â
Distance Events
The Owls showcased their depth in the distance events, highlighted by a dominant showing in the 1600m, where sophomore Kade McCracken and senior Carter Wildrick finished 1st and 2nd.Â
In the 800m, freshmen Noah Hinote and Fort Gusmus IV secured 2nd and 3rd place finishes, continuing the team's strong presence in middle-distance competition.
Overall Performance
In addition to multiple top finishes, the Owls recorded numerous personal records across the meet, with athletes at all levels stepping up to contribute to the team victory.
The strong showing highlights the team's depth and momentum as the season continues.
