Owls Shine at Twilight Classic

The MUS cross country team delivered a strong showing at the City Auto Memphis Twilight Classic on Saturday night at Mike Rose, placing 12th overall out of 37 teams in a highly competitive field.

Sophomore Kade McCracken paced the Owls, finishing in the top 50 with a time of 17:07.9. Freshman Will Hagerman was close behind, clocking 17:20.1, while senior Carter Wildrick ran 17:34.5. Freshman Noah Hinote crossed in 17:57.4, and freshman Zach Wildrick rounded out the scoring five with an 18:38.4. Four Owls placed in the top-100 individually.

The team's depth was clear as 18 of the MUS 21 runners posted personal records on the night. The mix of experienced leadership and emerging underclassmen helped the Owls post one of its most balanced team performances of the season.

Coach Hinote was very pleased with the team.

"I'm blown away by the results from the race. 18 PR's is incredible! The hard work that the team has been putting in is clearly paying off, and we hope to keep building on the momentum," said Hinote.

Great Job Team!
