The cross country team delivered a strong showing at the MYA HS Meet #2, yesterday, at Shelby Farms, finishing second overall out of 12 schools.
Freshman Will Hagerman paced the Owls with a runner-up individual finish, clocking at 18:27 on the challenging course. Freshman Ethan Vines was not far behind, running an impressive 19:07 to secure third place overall. Together, the duo gave MUS a powerful 1-2 punch at the front of the race.
The scoring pack for the Owls was rounded out by James Byrd (20:23), Fitz Wilson (21:01), Kemmons Wilson IV (21:49), and Webb Canale (21:59), whose consistency helped MUS hold off rival teams in the standings. Adding depth to the lineup, Krish Agrawal (22:48), Bennett Jones (22:54), and Nat Harris IV (23:59) all turned in gritty performances to cap the varsity effort.
The meet highlighted the Owls' blend of experienced leadership and emerging young talent, as underclassmen like Vines stepped up alongside veteran runners. With a second-place finish against solid competition, MUS continues to build momentum heading into the heart of the 2025 season.
Great job, team!
