The Owls secured an important region victory yesterday afternoon, topping CBHS 18–9 at Billy Hardwick's behind strong individual efforts and a dominant Baker performance.
Game 1
CBHS edged MUS in Game 1, taking an 1,163–1,090 pin advantage and earning six of eight points. The Owls picked up wins from sophomore
Drew Tayloe (185-150) and junior
Hank Thompson (204-170), but the Wave claimed the remaining matchups to take the early lead.
Game 2
The Owls answered immediately in Game 2, outscoring CBHS 1,185–1,151 and flipping the match with a 5–3 points advantage. Junior
Jacob Stalls posted a strong 213, while Tayloe (163–154) and junior
Chase Frazer (192–180) each secured key head-to-head wins to help the Owls reclaim momentum.
Baker Games
From there, the Owls took full control in the Baker games. MUS rolled a 219-146 victory in the first Baker and followed with a 216-157 win in the second, sweeping all eight Baker points and creating the separation needed to secure the match. The Owls also earned the final three bonus points by finishing with a 2,710-2,617 total pin advantage.

The 18–9 win strengthens MUS's position in the region standings as the Owls continue their push toward the state tournament.
The Owls look to continue their strong play tomorrow, November 22, as they participate in the Individual State Qualifiers at Billy Hardwick's.
