In its second game of the Bartlett Classic, the varsity basketball Owls battled a very quick and well-coached Marion (AR) squad but ultimately fell, 57-46, to drop to 5-2 on the season. 

Senior Ehi Ataga led the Owls in scoring with 14 points, and senior Bo Echols notched another double-double, scoring 10 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. Senior Kendon Leakes added 9 points. 

Limiting the Patriots to just 41.5% shooting (22-53 from the field), the Owls played well early and kept the game close. However, Marion rallied just before the half to take a 33-25 lead into the break.

In the second half, the Owls struggled to score, attempting only 18 field goals and making only 8. Their defense remained outstanding, but they could not take advantage offensively as they dropped their second game of the young season.
