In the first season under new head coach Chip Campbell '99, the varsity golf team continued its tradition of excellence with another standout year on the course.

For the fourth consecutive season and 22nd time overall, the Owls captured the region championship, led by junior Brantley Moore's sensational 64 (-7), which earned him medalist honors. MUS posted a team score of 271 (-3) to defeat Christian Brothers (290) and secure the title.

The season culminated at the TSSAA Division II-AA State Tournament in Sevierville, where the Owls finished as state runner-up for the second consecutive year, marking back-to-back runner-up finishes for the first time in 15 years. Moore once again led the charge, winning the individual state championship with back-to-back rounds of 70 (-2). His opening round featured four consecutive birdies as he surged to the top of the leaderboard to claim his first state title.

MUS showcased its depth throughout the lineup, highlighted by freshman Jack Faber's remarkable 65 (-7) in round two — the lowest round of the tournament.

Postseason honors reflected another exceptional year for the program. Moore was named All-Metro and Boys Golfer of the Year by both The Daily Memphian and The Commercial Appeal, received the 2025 Treadwell-Condon Golf MVP Award, and was selected to the TSWA Tennessee High School All-State Boys Team.

The following Owls were also named to the Daily Memphian All-Metro Team: juniors Drew Knighton and Charles Snider, sophomore Cobb Whipple, and Faber. First-year head coach Chip Campbell was named Boys Coach of the Year by the Commercial Appeal.

The 2025 season reflected the strength, depth, and standard of excellence within the program — a group that competed at the highest level, elevated one another throughout the year, and continued to build on a proud championship tradition. As the Owls look ahead, the foundation is firmly set for continued success on and off the course.
