The wrestling team continued its early-season tournament slate over the weekend, competing in the 2025 Black Horse Invitational held December 5–6 at Houston High School. The two-day event featured one of the deepest and most competitive fields in the region, giving the Owls valuable tests across multiple weight classes.

The highlight of the weekend came from senior Trey McDonald III, who battled through a challenging bracket to earn a 7th-place finish. McDonald's performance marked an important early-season milestone and provided a bright spot for the team in a loaded tournament field.

Throughout the event, the Owls gained crucial experience against high-level opponents, sharpening technique and building momentum as the regular season progresses.
