Kyle Finney

Finney joined the MUS coaching staff in 2007 as offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach but now takes over as the Operations Analyst. During his time on staff, MUS has won two state championships with four state runner-up finishes and nine region titles. The Owls averaged over 30 points per game in ten different seasons under his watch, and he coached 15 receivers to 500-plus-yard seasons and three to 1,000-plus-yard seasons. Prior to MUS, Finney had been head football coach at Tipton-Rosemark Academy and Lee Academy (MS). He was a standout wide receiver at Delta State University, where he is a member of the school’s Hall of Fame. He was a third-round draft pick by the Jacksonville Bulls of the United States Football League in 1986. He earned a spot on the Gulf South Conference Team of the Decade and Twenty-Fifth Anniversary Team. He is the father of MUS alumni Landon ’11 and Hunter ’16.
