Having served as interim head coach for the 2025 season, Jay Horne has been named the new head coach for the Varsity Tennis Owls. In his coaching career, Horne has 23 years of experience, including 7 years at MUS and Hutchison. He led Hutchison Middle to an undefeated season, the Lower School Owls to two state titles in three years, and 17 straight Shelby League Titles between both schools. His dual familiarity with both varsity and developmental levels provides valuable continuity and a clear vision for the program’s future. Last season for Horne was highlighted by an all-MUS final in both singles and doubles, a rare achievement that showcased his ability to cultivate talent early.
