Newman begins his second season as leader of the MUS offense. He most recently served as offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Evangelical Christian School for the last two seasons. He spent two years at Fort Smith Community College, coaching offensive line and coordinating the offense as well as being the program’s director of player personnel and recruiting coordinator. From 2017-19, Newman coached at Murray State University, first as an offensive line graduate assistant before being promoted to fullbacks and tight ends coach. He was a starting center at Murray State after a successful playing career at MUS. He was a captain on both the football and lacrosse teams, being named All-Region in football and playing on two state runner-up teams, as well as three state-champion lacrosse teams.
