Chip Campbell

Chip Campbell ’99 takes over the golf program in 2025 for Cliff Frisby, who retired after 16 years as head coach. As a player, Campbell was integral to MUS’s 1996 state championship team and the 1998 runner-up squad. He continued his golf journey at Washington & Lee University, where he achieved national recognition and ranked No. 52 in the country during his junior year. After his collegiate career, Campbell built a distinguished professional path off the course. Since 2014, he has served as Chief Financial Officer at Premier Storage Investors. He also joined the Western Golf Association board in 2022 and served as President of Carnival Memphis in 2024, demonstrating his commitment to community engagement and leadership. Athletic Director Thad McCracken expressed confidence in Campbell’s appointment: “His prowess as a golfer is well known…and we have full confidence that Chip is the man to further advance the golf program.” Campbell’s legacy as a student-athlete, his professional success, and his dedication to service make him uniquely qualified to lead MUS golf into its next chapter.
