Coach Suddarth took over as bowling coach in 2022 and has found immediate success. His 2024-25 team put together a regular-season record of 5-4, finishing region runners-up and clinching a spot in back-to-back state tournaments for the first time since 2016-17. Under Suddarth’s guidance, Alex Yong ’25 and Andersen Henry ’25 were named as finalists for the 2025 Mr. Bowler Award. Suddarth joined the MUS faculty in 2004 and teaches in the Latin Department that has claimed 16-consecutive Tennessee state championships. He serves as an assistant baseball coach and was previously an assistant basketball coach, helping guide the basketball program to a state championship game appearance in 2014 and the state semifinals in 2018. He is the father of current MUS student Doug Suddarth ’27.
