The Owls opened the 2026 trapshooting season Saturday at Moscow Tournament #1, turning in a strong team performance to begin the year.

The varsity squad finished 3rd out of 8 teams, highlighted by several standout individual scores.

Watts Liebenow IV led all Owl shooters with a team-high 90. Nat Harris IV followed with an 84, while Luke Russell posted an 83. Wallace Keeler added an 82, and John Mark Selecman recorded a 79 to round out the Owls' top five scorers. Porter Hays also competed for the varsity squad and finished with a 74.

The JV squad also competed in the season opener, led by Parker Hopping with a 75 and Wills Crabtree with a 63.

The strong opening performance sets a solid foundation as the Owls continue their season.
